35mm slides are actually very high quality images. Of course film can deteriorate with time. Our 35mm slide to dvd process digitizes the film and preserves the image in its current state before further damage can occur. Also, we use Nikon film scanners to produce slides and negatives, High definition is 4000dpi, and Standard Definition is 2000 dpi. For photo scanning, it is 600 dpi and 300 dpi, respectively.. The 35mm film scanner can digitally remove the dirt and dust on each slide and improve the overall quality of the image. Every scanning customer gets a Data DVD with their digitized images stored as JPEGs (also called JPGs), which are the most common file type for pictures. Because we use this standard file format, your digitized photos can simply be dragged and dropped or saved to your computer's hard drive. If you have a digital camera, it probably produces JPEGs. This means that your scanned pictures can likely be opened and organized with the program you currently use to handle your pictures. If you just want to view them, Windows comes with a program called Picture and Fax Viewer that will open them. The files we provide are also compatible with Google's Picasa, Adobe Photoshop, digital picture frames, internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox), as well as many Macintosh programs.
